Title: Analysis of Biological Sequences

Abstract: Bioinformatics is a study of problems related to storage, retrieval and analysis of information about the sequence, structure and function of biological sequences. In this talk, I will present algorithms and tools for sequence alignment, (pairwise and multiple sequence alignment) a central topic in bioinformatics that is key to understanding the evolutionary relationships among various protein sequences, and also for sequencing and retrieving biological sequences like DNA, m-RNA and proteins. In this talk, I will particularly focus on tools for analyzing algorithms for sequence alignment of DNA and protein sequences.
