Asst. Professor of Computer Science
Krishnan Pillaipakkamnatt received his
Ph.D. (1995) in Computer Science from Vanderbilt University, Nashville, TN and his B.E. (1989) in Computer Engineering
from Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, India. Among the courses he has enjoyed teaching are Discrete Mathematics,
Data Structures, Database systems and Introductory Programming.
His principal area of research is the design and analysis of algorithms for machine learning. In general he is interested in practical problems that have strong theoretical content and are amenable to mathematical analysis. He has published in Information and Computation, Machine Learning, Information Processing Letters and in the proceedings of a number of conferences.
