Faculty Positions Available


The Department of Computer Science at Hofstra University invites
applications for tenure-track (Ph.D. in CS or related field
required) and instructor positions (M.S. in CS or related field). 

The CS department in Hofstra is committed to a blend of high
quality teaching and peer-recognized research.  The Department
has approximately 250 undergraduate majors and 65 Masters
students.  We seek individuals with a passion for teaching and a
clear research program. Members of our department are currently
active in computer vision, decision making under uncertainty,
computational algebra, software testing, expert systems, and
machine learning, as well as in computer science education.
Department facilities include a Sun Ultra10-based classroom/lab
for majors, with comparable machines for faculty, and a PC-based
multimedia classroom/lab for non-majors.  Networked facilities
include multimedia classroom/labs, PCs, Macs and workstations.
